BREAST IMPLANTS - BREAST AUGMENTATION
Cosmetic breast enhancement can alleviate your concerns about the size and shape of your breasts. You may choose breast implants to balance your breasts, to improve their contour, or to increase the overall proportions of your breasts. Breast enlargement surgery might also be right for you if larger breasts would complement your figure and make it easier to attractively fit your favorite clothing. For a breast enlargement procedure, Dr. Ashby will guide you as you select the type, style, and size of breast implants to meet your needs. He will also discuss how to prepare for surgery, the procedures he’ll use, and your recovery.
BREAST LIFT SURGERY
Time, gravity, and physical factors such as pregnancy, nursing, and weight gain or loss all contribute to the problem of sagging breasts. These factors, alone and combined, lead to a loss of skin elasticity. The skin can no longer hold your breasts high and firm. Many women want to keep the volume and shape of their breasts just lifted back to where they used to be. Breast lift, or mastopexy, can surgically raise and reshape breasts. This procedure can also include a reduction in the size of the areola. Many women in Layton combine breast implants with a breast lift, to increase the size of their breasts. For a breast lift procedure, Dr. Ashby will explain the techniques available to achieve your goals. He will also discuss how to prepare for surgery, the procedures he’ll use, and your recovery.
BREAST REDUCTION SURGERY
Women with overly large breasts can suffer a variety of medical problems due to the weight of their breasts. Back and neck pain are comment complaints, as well as pain caused by wearing bras intended to offer support. Overly large breasts can also have serious detrimental effects on the skeletal system, leading to deformities. In addition to medical problems, unusually large breasts can draw unwanted attention to a woman or girl, making her feel self-conscious. Dr. Ashby offers breast reduction, or reduction mammaplasty, as a surgical form of relief from these medical and social problems. Dr. Ashby will explain the options available to help you attain smaller, lighter breasts that are shapely and proportional.
MALE BREAST REDUCTION SURGERY - GYNECOMASTIA
Men who have excess breast tissue or excess skin in the chest area can feel self-conscious about their appearance. If you have to think twice about removing your shirt at the beach because you aren’t comfortable with the womanly contours of your chest, gynecomatia may be right for you. The intended result of gynecomastia (male breast reduction) is a masculine chest. Dr. Ashby may use liposuction or combine liposuction with the removal of excess glandular tissue to achieve the results you desire.
